Blackwater Manufacturing returned to Specialist Protective Coatings (SPC) for another project that involved blasting and treating new gas pipes the company had manufactured. Precision, durability and efficiency are crucial in the complicated world of gas plant infrastructure and gas pipe coating.

The gas pipe coating work, which covered 2 and 8-inch diameter pipes, a running length of 108 metres, was again coated with 1500 Microns of solvent-free urethane on the external surfaces, and a single coat of an epoxy polyamine coating which allowed for better gas flow and assisted in the prevention of rust. SPC ensured that they worked within the requirements of the client’s specifications and gas industry.
